So far all the cast seemed to be praising him and it's perfect for him because it's r rated and can have dark humour

Hopefully it does surprise us but in a good and not in a bad way. Wonder Woman 1984 surprised us not in a good way but in a bad way. Not entirely bad but the script and writing wasn't that good. If it had better writing and script the movie would have been excellent. Hopefully they fix the errors in the third movie that the 2nd one had.
It will be good, James gunn is doing the entire screenplay and has full control over everything. James gunn is better with dark humour so this film should be perfect for him.
